That this Council Committee, noting the substantial new funding being received by this Council from the Non Principal Private Residence charge, the significant amount of rented accommodation in some areas of the Tallaght Area Committee, some of it substandard and the new responsibilities this Council has in relation to the condition of private rented accommodation in this Local Authority area, calls on the Manager to give an in-depth report on how this Council is enforcing and operating the new legislation in this Committee area.
That this Area Committee recommends that the draft Clondalkin Town Centre Plan be recast as a draft Local Area Plan and that the Manager initiate the additional preparatory work and necessary environmental assessments required for an LAP before any detailed draft plans are brought before this committee.

Correspondence, dated 17th May 2010, from Minister for Community, Equality & Gaeltacht Affairs in response to SDCC's letter in relation to motion passed calling on the Taoiseach to immediately reinstate a Minister with sole responsibility for the National Drug Strategy
"To ask the Manager to provide details of the development being constructed by Kelland Homes at Killinarden Heights, stating what permission is live, how many units are being constructed at present and how many are likely to be developed in the near future and can the Manager make a statement on the matter?".

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the 15% of housing units currently under construction at Killinarden Heights to be designated Social as opposed to Affordable taking into account the Council's recent limited options in the delivery of 'New Build Social Housing'.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for an inspection of all apartments on Avonbeg Drive with particular reference to the chimneys and gables where large pieces of plaster are falling off and the overall structure of the plaster appears to be disintegrating.
To ask the Manager to report on the proposed roll-out of the new brown bin Service indicating possible cost to users, frequency of service, effect on grey bin service, date of commencement of service and the options available to households who wish to opt-out of the service?
To ask the Manager if any plans have been established to use part of the €1.1M 'Public Realm' budget for paving sections of the Belgard Road and N81 medians such as leading to roundabouts or junctions to improve visibility and therefore safety as was discussed during the Budget 2010 process in the context of the twenty fold increase in the cost of cutting grass on these Roads and can the Manager make a statement on the matter?
That the Manager takes action to stop the continued selling on the footpath at Main Street, Clondalkin despite warnings to remove same already issued.
