That the elected members of this council agree to write to the Minister for Education Hildegarde Naughton to express our solidarity with the school secretaries and caretakers who went on strike for pension parity and fair pay last year and to request that the Department of Education meet the demands from the workers and that the elected members condemn the delaying tactics that has resulted in the dispute going to the Labour Court.
To ask the Chief Executive how many social housing tenants are paying rent under the differential rent scheme in South Dublin County (including council, AHB and HAP/HHAP/RAS)?
That this Council requests that a rolling list of street lights, with faults resulting in longer fixes, is made available to the public and to councillors to prevent duplicate requests for repair and to promote a more streamlined method of communication with constituents on these issues.

To ask the Chief Executive what specific powers (apart from issuing letters and site visits) does South Dublin County Council have to enforce planning conditions on a developer or builder such as working at hours that are outside the agreed times in the permission granted including the escalation procedures?
This Committee requests that the Council consider providing new kerbs and the planting of new trees to prevent cars parking and in some cases driving on the green at Muckross Grove, Perrystown. Unfortunately this has become an increasing problem with trees and kerbs damaged.
To ask the Manager whether a pedestrian/active travel safety audit can be carried out for the area surrounding St Colmcille's Community School with a view to improving markings. Cyclists and walkers converge on narrow paths at peak times, as well as an S8 bus stop alighting directly onto the cycle path.
To ask that the manager arranges an inspection and re-doing of the cycle track/pedestrian markings outside St Colmcille's Community School and along Scholarstown Road approaching the school.

That the Council Roads Safety in conjunction with the Active travel section carry out or have carried out , a Safety Audit on recent changes by the school to the Lucan Heights Road at the entrance to St. Josephs / St. Marys Church, in relation to pedestrians safety in particular.
Can the Chief Executive inform the Area Committee of the communications and engagement currently taking place between the appointed contractor and residents in Sarsfield’s Park in relation to traffic management arrangements and resident notification. In this context, can the Chief Executive outline: (i) how the Council oversees contractor communications with residents; (ii) what measures are in place to ensure that information provided is clear, accessible and accurate; and (iii) how the Council monitors and intervenes where traffic management arrangements on site do not align with approved drawings or conditions.
