That this Committee resolves that the Art installation that was in the Camac River adjacent to the Clondalkin Civic offices be reinstated or replaced with another Art installation.
The Camac river is at the heart of Clondalkin and was probably the reason for the establishment of a settlement here in pre viking times. This Committee resolves that attention be paid to restoring this river to it's former beauty. The river is badly littered at several locations, at the Civic Offices, at Riversdale, at the Community Centre and a plan be drawn up for the improvement and restoration of this river.

That this Committee resolves that some trees be planted in the Clondalkin village and Harelawn areas to complement the great work being done by the Tidy Towns committees in these locations and to enhance their chances in the forthcoming competition. The area at Tuthills car park and at Main Street have been earmarked by the village group whilst the Harelawn group have plenty of suitable sites. The planting of trees would be a fitting tribute to the work of the Parks and Environment Department, and all council staff who have inspired the Tidy Towns groups from Clondalkin this year.
