Manager's Report on the Draft Newcastle Local Area Plan
That the manager installs three "CCTV Camera in action" signs at the Eircom Exchange to eliminate illegal dumping. That the Manager also randomly checks the area over a 2 week period between 7-9am weekdays. I want to thank the Manager for putting in time and effort to cleaning this area up and hope that the above measures will save Council time from future illegal dumping.
That the Manager give dates for the removal of the stone boulders which are presently on Méile an Rí Crescent. The boulders are a complete eyesore for the residents and the council have promised a number of months ago that they would be removed.
That this Committee requests the Council to write to the Minister for Justice Alan Shatter to appeal on behalf of Alpha Gassama who resides in the Tower Reception Centre Clondalkin. We are appealing to the Minister to let Alpha stay in Ireland on the grounds that his life would be in danger if he was to go back to Guinea. Alpha has been in Ireland for the past eight years and has done numerous voluntary works since his arrival here in 2004.
Update on the 2012 Arboricultural Works Programme
That the long roadside perimeter grass and bushes be cut at Kilcronan Estate, particularly Kilcronan Ave. This Estate needs to be cleaned up and we could start with cutting all the overgrown areas.
That this area committee recognising the historical importance of Clondalkin and its surrounding historical sites ask SDCC to look at the possibility of installing an interpretive noticeboard outside the Civic buildings chronicling Clondalkin's history and it's surrounding historical sites.
That this Committee supports a Clondalkin Equine Management Programme run in conjunction with local horse owners and the Irish Horse Welfare Trust. Will the Manager provide maps of areas suitable, such as Corkagh Park near the animal farm, South West Clondalkin and North Clondalkin.
That this Committee congratulate all members of "Keeping Clondalkin Clean & Tidy" for their hard work in brightening Clondalkin Village and environs.
That this area committee looks into the feasibility of giving local horse owners a plot of land so an equine horse project can be put in place in Clondalkin.
That this Committee agrees to undertake remedial work at the new roundabout in Newcastle coming from Rathcoole (photographs supplied to council)
That this Council outline it's plans for dealing with the problems caused by youths building bonfires in the Clondalkin Electoral Area.

To ask the Manager for an update on why the phone kiosk on Main St., Clondalkin has not been removed as agreed at the May 2012 LAC?
"An bhféadfadh leis an gComhairle an bruscar i bpáirc '5 acra' (an ceann beag) i mBaile Pheire a bhailiú?
Would the Council collect the litter in the '5 acres' park (the small one) in Perrystown?"
Cathain a ngearrfar na fálta:
1. i bPáirc na gCrann Glas, Baile Pheire, Baile Átha Cliath 12?
2. i bPáirc Ghort na Feá , Baile Bhailcín 12?
When will the hedges be cut in:
1. Greentrees Park Perrystown Dublin 12?
2. Beechfield Park Walkinstown Dublin 12?
That SDCC engage with the relevant bodies responsible for the upkeep & maintenance of the much valued Grand Canal Green Route. Litter bins not being emptied and graffiti are constant issues and are not being tackled with the necessary commitment.
That the Architect's office updates this Committee on any developments/commitments from the OPW/Dept of Environment following our on-site meeting at the Round Tower earlier this year
That the Manager will consider a landscaping upgrade for Clondalkin Village centre to include the planting of some suitable mature trees.
