QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor P. Kearns
"To ask the Manager to investigate the ongoing problems with the sewer pipe network outside numbers * Address Supplied . This area has been backed up on a number of occasions in recent time.A private company told them that the problem was being caused by the roots of trees planted nearby. As the main shore is in a public area they would like the Council to investigate the matter and report back their findings?"
REPLY:
The Drainage Section have examined the sewers around the named houses in *address supplied* and have discovered a damaged or collapsed pipe close to a manhole in the hammerhead. This pipe will be dug out and repair/replaced shortly and this should solve the drainage problems in this area.
