To ask the Manager further to his response to Question no 5 at the March 20 Clondalkin Area Committee to provide an update on the transfer of land between Kilmahuddrick Road and Kilcronan Grove from Cluid Housing Association to SDCC and in light of the very serious illegal dumping at this site to outline what plans the Council has to resolve this issue once the transfer from Cluid has been completed?

To ask the Manager how many personal injury claims have been made to the Council broken down between 2009-2013 and how much compensation has been paid out 2009-2013? How much has been paid out to the public and how many claims from the public, again 2009-2013?
That this Committee requests the Manager to address the lighting issue at the top of New Road (dead end)/Newlands Road. This is a very dark and quiet corner and has become a 'hang out' area for youths in cars and also the scene of some serious anti-social activity of which the Gardai are aware. I believe an extra lamp to brighten the area would detract individuals from gathering in this corner?
That this Committee would like to express serious concern with the issue of cars travelling too fast on Watery Lane from the Woodford Junction to the Village and as well as contacting Gardai for action we would request that the Council prioritise this road for a traffic calming scheme. There is a huge amount of pedestrian traffic along this route as well as there being shops,schools, scouts den and several residential entry/exit points.
That the Manager outline the current situation re: strip of land at rear garden of Moorfield Lawns (address supplied). Resident, states that builders who were building two houses at rear of his garden took away his fence and told him the Council would note the change to his garden. The resident has never had a reply from South Dublin County Council. That the situation be cleared as to ownership of land.

"That this Area Committee requests the Manager to provide a detailed report on the recent review of pedestrian/cycle safety at Newcastle Road; and requests the Manager to agree to the introduction of a three-axel restriction on Newcastle Road, between the N4 & Nangor Road junctions, at limited school start and close times; noting that introduction of a three-axel restriction would support the objective of South Dublin Chamber, as stated in correspondence to this Council dated 27th February, to permit lower weight commercial vehicles access to more of the County’s road infrastructure to support commercial activity in South Dublin County."
