That this Area Committee congratulate the committee of Tallaght Community Council and all the Community Groups, Voluntary Organisations and others that were involved in Tallafest 2014, for making it such an enjoyable occasion and that the Manager will commit to promoting and sponsoring the event to ensure that it is sustainable and accessible to all, in coming years.
"To ask the Chief Executive to arrange for the trees that are blocking the traffic light at the junction of Glendown Avenue and Cypress Drive to be pruned as it is a serious health and safety issue?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to arrange for the inspection of the windows of every house that was refurbished under phase 1 of the Cushlawn refurbishment programme as the majority of these windows are badly deteriorated as they were done to a very low standard during the programme. That these inspections take place with a view to the windows being replaced as soon as possible?"

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide a report on what enforcement actions have been taken in relation to the alleged after hours working on the school site on Garters lane which is in conflict with the granting of the planning permission with a view to this activity ceasing immediately.

"To request that the Chief Executive gives an up-to-date report on the development of Carrigmore Park, on which work was due to begin in May, and also gives a new date on when work is expected to commence on the park and what role the council is playing in ensuring that this park is finally delivered for the area?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to give an update on the derelict site at the former Saggart Arms pub in Saggart village and what the council’s long-term plan is for the site which is at the centre of one of the most historic locations in the county and could provide tourism for the whole county?"
"That this Council write to the Chief Executive of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council asking that it be agreed that a restriction be placed on the number of concerts in Marley Park each year, there being eight concerts held in Marley Park this summer.
To ask Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown Council to confirm the profit received from hosting such events and that a certain percentage of that profit ought to be given to South Dublin Council for spending within the Rathfarnham Area to compensate locals for the inconvenience they suffer as a result of such concerts.
In addition that Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council would notify this Council once an application to host is received and once permission to host is granted that a minimum notice as to such events be agreed between the parties."

When can the residents expect the work to commence and when is it expected that it will be completed? Also will the agreed bushes be planted along the wall as soon as the repair work is finished?"
To ask the Chief Executive to ascertain the current situation of the proposed playground for Newcastle. Has the €120,000 been made available and has a site been identified? What is the timeline for starting and finishing this much needed facility?
"That this Committee receive and discuss a report detailing the planning issues related to primary schools in the Firhouse/Ballycullen area, and in particular any progress or changes related to the issue in recent months."
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to contact the Department with a view to regularising all tenancies on a permanent basis in all of the "unsold affordable Homes" within the control of this Committee as tenants have no stability and added to that there is no sales scheme in operation at present.

To ask the Manager to further liaise with the owner of the adjoining premises to remove graffiti impacting on the site, and to ensure the site is fully cleaned up and landscaped appropriately, and fully secured, as was stated in the Council's requirements regarding the Derelict Sites Register?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to arrange for some planting of hedging or bushes at the boundary wall at 28 Kilclare Crescent that will grow up the boundary wall as the area is attracting anti-social behaviour and this planting will solve some of these issues".
