"That the Chief Executive with the aid of a report provide an overall assessment of the aboricultural programme delivered to Councillors in 2014, with confirmation as to how much of the anticipated work was completed. Please also explain how the Chief Executive decides what works are to be done by its staff and what works are to be contracted out. Please confirm the total County budget for tree removal/pruning and of that budget what percentage was spent in Rathfarnham and whether or not these works fell within the budget allocated. Please can a monthly report feature as a headed item at all meetings going forward so that progress can be tracked."

This Committee welcomes the ongoing support by SDCC provided to Knockmitten United FC in their efforts to develop an astro turf pitch in Knockmitten Park. This Committee supports the request by Knockmitten United FC for a long term lease from the Council on the old basketball court beside Knockmitten Community Centre.

"That the Chief Executive explain and update as to an item which I placed on the Agenda to this meeting back in March 2014 and concerning the beech trees in Brookwood. A full assessment was to be completed. Please can I have a copy of that assessment, along with details as to what works need to be done to maintain and preserve these trees. The Chief Executive in his reply to me rightly points out the importance of these trees but for the best part of 20 years this Council has abdicated responsibility for these same much loved trees."

"To ask the Chief Executive to repair the laneway that goes from the junction of Willowbank Drive / Butterfield Park to Edenbrook Park as the surface is rather uneven, causing health and safety issues for local elderly residents, especially on dark evenings?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to repair the footpath on the laneway between 116 & 118 Butterfield Park to between 27 & 29 Pinewood Park. approx. 80 metres. This is in a dangerous state of disrepair. It is the worst at the Butterfield Park end and needs urgent attention?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to repair the footpath on the laneway between 42 & 44 Anne Devlin Road to between 8 & 9 Anne Devlin Drive. Again, approx. 80 metres. This is also in a pretty bad state - worst at the Anne Devlin Road end. This is causing enormous difficulty for local residents, particularly those using zimmer frames?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to repair the first 60 metres of pathway on Ballyboden Road at its junction with Ballyroan Road as far as "Orbit Windows" premises. The pathway is old uneven tarmac which has worn away on the road side. It is dangerous for the infirm or for anyone pushing a wheelchair or buggy?"
