"That this Area Committee agrees to section off a part of the dog park in Griffeen specially for puppies up to the age of 26 weeks, for the reason of socialising them with other puppies."
This Council contends that the school warden service should not be withdrawn from any crossing point in our County unless it can be clearly demonstrated that there is no health and safety risk to children in doing so. Could a report be presented on the crossing points where service has been withdrawn and outline the rationale for same.

That this Council calls for the banning of any use of glyphosate in or close to public parks, public playgrounds and public gardens. (Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide and crop desiccant used to kill weeds, especially annual broadleaf weeds and grasses)
Note: In April of this year MEPs asked the European ?Commission to reassess its approval of glyphosate in the light of its pending classification by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) due to links to causing cancer and the disruptive impact on a person's endocrine system.

"That this Committee calls for an 'Area Based Transport Assessment for Forward Planning' to deal with increasing traffic volumes on Edmondstown Road, Whitechurch Road, Stocking Lane, Ballycullen Road and Old Court Road as a result of housing development on the foothills of the Dublin Mountains. As these lands are not subject to an LAP there has been no 'Area Based Transport Assessment For Forward Planning' which are provided for the NRA Traffic and Transport Assessment Guidelines."
To ask the Chief Executive how many Local Area Plans are required under the new County Development Plan; when it is proposed to start the process in each LAP; when each is planned to be finished; and to make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Chief Executive to confirm the status of the proposed extension of the Dublin City Bike Hire Scheme to SDCC, or a standalone scheme within SDCC; to provide details on the funding allocated and spent so far on feasibility and other studies; to state which areas of SDCC have been considered; and to make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Chief Executive to clarify the number of fire safety issues in houses within Council stock, including Part V houses and other acquisitions, which have arisen, year on year for the last ten years; to ask the Chief Executive to give details with regard to all of these issues; and to make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on all cycle schemes relevant to the County following recent media announcements regarding funding for such, and to make a statement on the matter.
"This area committee would like a report on the Playspace at Haydens Park. Residents in the estate feel very let down by the council on the way the area has been looked after since it was finished. Grass has not been cut around the playspace and it is starting to look in a very bad way. The residents were told before this play space was finished that the area would be looked after."
"That this Committee agrees that the Council look into introducing a pilot puppy enclosure at Griffeen Valley dog park. This area could be used for small puppies to mix before they mix with the other dogs in the current dog park."
"To ask the Chief Executive for a report on why the grass verge in the side of the Lucan Newlands road leading in to Glenvale estate has still not been cut. I have had motions past in the Lucan area committee and a number of members reps on this issue which all said it would be cut and up to now it still has not been done?"
To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the number of illegal clothes bins that have been reported or removed from bring centres in all LEA's. Broke down by LEA for 2015 and so far in 2016.
"That the Chief Executive urgently sets in place a process to close off all access from the old Lucan Newlands Road wasteland on the historic esker between Castle Riada and Moy Glas, given that a proposed accessibility study access cycle corridor did not go ahead and is unlikely to be revived in the near future; given the ongoing antisocial behaviour and break-ins being experienced by residents in both estates all along this route; and in particular to immediately close up with a brick wall or fence the gap between Castle Riada Drive and Moy Glas lawn (which the Council made wider recently despite efforts by residents to close it off), as this flies in the face of the agreed closure of the fence onto the ORR at this location following a request by Moy Glas residents Association and is dearly wanted by residents living in Castle Riada Drive who have reported thieves using the gap to escape following break-ins."
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on consultations with An Garda Síochána on the need to update Parks ByeLaws to provide clearer provisions on the powers of Gardai in holding, returning and disposing scrambler bikes seized from parks and open spaces?
Saggart Village Initiative
"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to present a report on planned compliance with the Phase 2 requirement of the revised Adamstown SDZ planning scheme requiring “completion of the Newcastle Road (R120) study as part of an overall Lucan Movement Framework Plan.”
