That the Manager investigates and resolves the water flooding at the pedestrian school crossing at Ballyroan Crescent D.16. The surface of the crossing is damaged with cracks and potholes because of water rising from the under cracks. When there is heavy rain the water comes down from the road that serves the local junior and senior schools. The water flows underground surfacing from the cracks in the crossing. Roads management need to dig up the crossing and pipe the rainwater into new flood drains on Ballyroan Crescent.
That this committee notes the the amount of rubbish that is deposited along the Dodder River following heavy rainfall and requests that the source of this rubbish is located and contained as a matter of urgency.

This Committee notes the number of senior citizens who live in the Greenhills area and are regular users of Greenhills Park. This Committee further notes the lack of outdoor age friendly seating and benches in the park. The lack of seating has a significant impact on senior citizens and their ability to fully utilise the park. To address this, the Committee requests that South Dublin County Council commit to the installation of age friendly seating areas in the park.
To ask the Chief Executive, since the rollout of outdoor exercise equipment across SDCC parks, how many incidents of vandalism or damage to the equipment have been reported?
That this Council acknowledges the biodiversity and climate emergency and requests that SDCC do everything possible to protect hedgerows and trees; notwithstanding the need for housing and employment, every effort should be made to safeguard rural areas by retaining hedgerows and trees wherever possible.

To ask the Chief Executive if, considering the ongoing fuel crisis and rising fuel costs for hauliers and other fuel-dependent businesses, the Council will consider providing a credit on fees, or reducing or waiving fees for a period, for items such as abnormal load permits and, where applicable, commercial rates.
