Headed Item 3 – Environmental Assessments
Appended to this Headed Item is the:
- Environmental Report which is the report resulting from the Strategic Environmental Assessment of the proposed Variation: the draft Clondalkin Local Planning Framework
- The screening report and the determination for Appropriate Assessment (the Habitats Directive); and
- Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)
These environmental assessments have informed the plan making process.
In relation to the recommendations contained in the CE Report, as indicated in Headed Item 1, taking into account the other measures relating to environmental management and protection that are already integrated into the existing Development Plan and the Proposed Variation, the recommendations for amendments would not give rise to any likely significant effect on the environment or any European Site. Therefore, SEA and Stage 2 AA are not required for those recommendations.
An initial screening for both strategic environmental assessment and AA of the motions to the proposed variation has also been carried out and is provided for in the report on the motions as an advisory note. For a number of motions this initial screening has indicated that should the motions be carried a full SEA and / or AA is likely to be required.
