This Committee calls on the Manager to give a report in view of the financial difficulties being experienced by the Council on how it is directly affecting the turn over of boarded up houses, transfers and allocations in the Tallaght area and how he proposes to deal with these difficulties.
That the Manager outline the steps being taken by the Housing Department to address the enormous backlog due to increase in Housing applications with regard to the Tallaght area.

This Council Committee calls on the Manager to give a report outlining the possible effect of the withdrawal of Jobs Initiative workers on Community Projects in the Tallaght Committee Area and can he outline if any assessment has been carried by his Department regarding this proposal.
That this Committee condemns any move by the government to abolish JI/CE schemes within Tallaght given the proven immense value of these schemes in terms of community enhancement and development.
That this Committee requests the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht affairs to give a commitment to maintain the West Tallaght RAPID programme given its outstanding success to date and the potential disastrous consequences to the community it serves if removed.

"To ask the Manager to give an indication of when the new payment system for bin collection should be in place, in order to alleviate concerns of residents in the Tallaght area who are entitled to waivers, given the difficulties with issuing tags etc. in these cases?"
"To ask the Manager to give a total of the expenditure of this Council on cleansing areas both by the Parks Department and the Environmental Services Department within the Tallaght area due to illegal dumping and fly tipping to date for 2009 and to give some examples of what possible resources the Council has lost due to this loss of revenue?"
"To ask the County Manager if he will respond to a request to have a seat installed at Bohernabreena Cemetery, as requested by a person *details supplied, and if he will investigate the reasons for the delay in responding to this request, to date?"
To ask the Manager to give an update on the rollout of the new chip-based refuse collection service ('grey bins') in the Tallaght Central and Tallaght South areas, and to confirm if sites have been selected for pilot projects in either area.
"To ask the Manager to respond to complaints made on Whitehall Road, Kimmage, Dublin 12 regarding the use of the green at the entry to Priory Walk at what would seem to be a depot for Council machinery and does he agree that this practice should discontinue?"

That this Committee deplores the littered state of many of the laneways in the Dublin 12 area of the County, many of which have served as the location for significant acts of 'fly-tipping' in recent months and years; that the Committee seeks further resourcing of the litter warden and inspection services with regard to this dangerous and antisocial practice; and that the Committee asks the Manager to prepare a report on the possibility of a Community Employment or other scheme which would engage local people in laneway cleaning and upkeep as an addition to the existing environmental services.
That the Manager outlines the savings to the Council in the Tallaght area through the removal of weekend bin collections when bank holidays occur.
