QUESTION: Councillor P. Kearns

"To ask the County Manager if he will respond to a request to have a seat installed at Bohernabreena Cemetery, as requested by a person  *details supplied, and if he will investigate the reasons for the delay in responding to this request, to date?"

REPLY:

The Council's Area Engineer, Burial Grounds Maintenance Section has been in contact with this lady regarding her request to have a bench installed in the Cemetery and has explained to her the situation regarding the installation of benches in the cemetery to her.  The list of people applying for benches is quite extensive.. The Council have made some space available in the cemetary for three benches.  There is insufficient space in the cemetary for installing more.  Until such time as the cemetary is extended, no more benches will be installed.
