This Council Committee, concerned at the ongoing problems involving numerous  laneways in many Council Estates in Tallaght, like Fettercairn and Tymon North and the decade long  attempts of the Council to resolve the problems associated with nuisance,  anti social behaviour, drug dealing, criminal access and illegal dumping in many of these laneways, agrees to call on the Manager to give a report identifying lanes that are currently closed but with issues like right of way not resolved and lanes where closure is objected to, due services or to reaccess for residents  etc, also agrees to prioritise resolving  these matters including  establishment of a scheme to encourage local residents, Council and private, to take in theses spaces into their property at a nominal rate.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the resurfacing of the road at the entrances to Avonbeg Gardens which has been badly degraded as a result of the infill Scheme and which was agreed to be carried out once the scheme was completed".
