REPORT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAVELLER ACCOMMODATION PROGRAMME

Traveller Accommodation Programme  2009-2013 Report:

Stocking Hill	10	Bays	Delivered February 2009 – this development is now in the Rathfarnham Electoral Area
Turnpike	3	Group Houses	Cost plan submitted to DOEHLG  for approval
Belgard Road	6	Group Houses	Initial discussions have taken place shortly with residents and Tallaght Traveller Community Development Group. proposals for development being considered by Architectural Services Department.
St. Aidans	10	Group Houses	Review of concept plans taking place following budget capital budget allocation.

Circular N6/2009 from the Department of  Environment, Heritage & Local Government has allocated a capital budget for Traveller Accommodation of €5,224,500 in the South Dublin County Council Administrative area under the Social Housing Investment Programme Allocations for 2009.  This is a shortfall of approximately  €1.4m on the proposed estimated expenditure in this area. Accordingly a review is being undertaken to establish what changes in scheduling are necessary to stay within the budget allocation
