CORRESPONDENCE
(a) Correspondence dated 2nd February 2021 from the Limerick City & County Council regarding a motion passed at their recent Council meeting calling for the suspension of statutory time period for the preparation of the Draft Limerick Development Plan 2022 - 2028.
(b) Correspondence dated 2nd February 2021 from the Limerick City & County Council regarding a motion passed at their recent Council meeting calling on all Councils to write to the Government to request a national day of recognition be established for the women and children impacted by the mother & baby homes
(c) Correspondence dated 15th February 2021 from Tipperary County Council regarding a motion passed at their recent Council meeting calling for a 75% rebate in PSO Levy on ESB bills for Community Halls and Facilities.
(d) Correspondence dated 15th February 2021 from Tipperary County Council regarding a motion passed at their recent Council meeting calling for extra supports be made available to regional newspapers.
(e) Correspondence dated 16th February 2021 from Kerry County Council regarding a motion passed at their recent Council meeting calling on the Government to use its position on the United Nations Security Council to "deliver statehood for the Palestinian people"
(f) Correspondence dated 16th February 2021 from Kerry County Council regarding a motion passed at their recent Council meeting inviting Ms. Samantha Power to address Kerry County Council at a future date
(g) Correspondence dated 19th February 2021 from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions in response to motion 2 (Duffy/Cahill Report) at the January 2021 Council meeting.
That the Chief Executive reports on the number of allotments currently managed by the Council, listed in terms of geographic area, numbers of plots and waiting lists associated with each site; Under takes to provide and outlines the timescale for additional allotments in recognised population centres that do not already have them (Eg North Clondalkin, Lucan/Adamstown, The 4 Districts), especially where there are large numbers of housing units with no gardens or smaller gardens than traditional housing; and if a statement can be made on the matter.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on repair works to the playspace in Hermitage Park.
To ask the Chief Executive as to how many applications to the Sports Capital Programme SDCC will be supporting, submitting or partnering on this year.
To ask the Chief Executive for the number in tabular form, of all persons who are receiving social housing support from SDCC, through HAP, RAS, renting from the Council, and on the social housing waiting list for each month from January 2019 to January 2021, categorised by local electoral area.
That the Area Committee will write to the Minister for Education request that Divine Mercy Junior & Senior National Schools be designated as DEIS schools, given the significant disadvantage that exists in the schools' catchment area.
That the Area Committee calls for an awareness campaign on dog fouling and its removal from public places to be conducted in the Lucan, Palmerstown & North Clondalkin areas?
To ask the Chief Executive as to when the new houses at Palmerstown Avenue (between Palmerstown Avenue and the Oval) are to be occupied and if he will make a statement on the matter.
This Committee agrees that the decision to hand over the two community centres in North Clondalkin to SDC Partnership be deferred and that no changes should take place before there is real consultation and discussion with the community, users of the centres and local organisations including a full briefing of local councillors. Information needs to be provided on what activities the Partnership proposes to carry out in the centres and the impact this may have on other groups, organisations, services, and the wider community in North Clondalkin
To ask the Chief Executive to undertake a minor programme of works in Cluain Rí Park on Ballyowen Lane, including repair and strengthening of the entrance gate, slants to be placed on adjacent junction boxes on the R136 and public lighting in the park.
To ask the Chief Executive if he will introduce a freepost system for people wishing to write to South Dublin County Council, to encourage greater participation in local democracy, for people returning official documents, such as grant applications, housing applications sending in submissions on planning applications etc.
To ask the Chief Executive to undertake remediation works in Ballyowen Park to prevent flooding in parts of the park and improve drainage
To ask the Chief Executive Officer how many additional bins were requested to be installed in 2020, how have since been installed. If the report could breakdown the bins per area where possible, as in Adamstown, village area, parks, on street etc.
To ask the Chief Executive for the latest report on the activities of Ballyowen Community Centre, date of its last AGM and the membership of its board and if it will make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Chief Executive as to what progress has been made with regard to the proposed inclusion of bottle banks as part of the Neilstown District Centre Enhancement Programme?

That this area committee requests the Chief Executive to write to all known licenced bus operators, public and private, in the areas of this committee, to request they remind their drivers of the increase in vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists during the covid pandemic and to ensure they give them space, particularly as many children are using this time of reduced traffic to learn to cycle on the road network.

FILLING OF VACANCY ON THE CLONDALKIN DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TASK FORCE FOLLOWING THE RESIGNATION OF COUNCILLOR D. Ó BRÁDAIGH - FOR APPROVAL
Noting the previous success of the "Reclaiming our Parks" programme, this area committee asks the Chief Executive Officer to revisit this policy initiative to target parks in our locality which have become the target of anti social behaviour in an effort to maintain our parks at the highest possible standard
