QUESTION: Councillor Liam Sinclair

Following a number of reports of ducks being targeted and harassed in Ballymount Park, that a statement be made on the following; 1. Are the council aware of the incidents in question? 2. Are there incidents of a similar nature in Tallaght and the wider county? 3. Is there a plan being made to combat this animal cruelty?

REPLY:

The Council have received a number of reports of ducks being targetted in Ballymount Park. Staff have been informed of this and the Park Ranger service have been notified and will carry out regular visits to the park . This matter will continue to be monitored.
