That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee acknowledges that many complaints have been notified to Councillors about deficiencies in the postal services in Lucan, particularly in the newer housing estates, and requests the Manager to seek a meeting, prior to an upcoming Area Committee meeting,   with representatives of An Post, so that members can be appraised of plans by An post to improve the service.

That this Committee requests the Manager to consider the opening up of a Council customer service office in Lucan and Palmerstown in order to further improve the service being given to residents and in acknowledgement of the fact that no adequate direct public transport link connects these communities to the Council’s other offices.
