QUESTION: Councillor S. Laing

"To ask the Manager if he would organise a special cleanup of the laneway at the rere of St.Josephs Road in Greenhills given the amount of debris and dirt that has gathered there in recent months?"

REPLY:

The laneway in question was cleaned thoroughly during the first half of 2006.  The Litter Warden for the area has been requested to examine the area in relation to illegal dumping and to take any appropriate action if evidence of the perpetrator(s) of illegal dumping is available.  The Warden will also refer the matter to the Cleansing Section for attention once his examination is completed.
