"To ask the Manager to carry out repair works to the water shore drains in Orwell Park Glade.  These shores have been blocked for many years and during periods of heavy rain flooding results due to the shores inability to handle the water.  Residents believe the shores may be blocked by tree roots which have never been dealt with by the Council?"

"That the Manager carry out repairs to the footpath at Willington Lane at its junction with Willington roundabout directly behind Orwell Park Glade.  This footpath is prone to flooding and as part of such repairs that a heavy pruning be carried out on the overgrown brambles and bushes to the side of the footpath which force pedestrians to walk on the grass at times of heavy rain."

Councillor M. Ardagh

"That the Manager carry out an inspection of the laneway between Cherryfield Road and St. Peter's Road.  The most critical point is at the bend at the lower end where a number of large potholes are causing serious flooding.  This laneway is extensively used by local residents as a short-cut to the shops.  The ongoing heavy rainfall has effectively rendered this route impassable at times for pedestrians and particularly dangerous at night-time.  To ensure the safety of residents could you please repair the surface of this laneway."

CATHAOIRLEACH'S BUSINESS

"That the Manager tackle the many problems along Whitechurch Road as requested by the Willbrook Lawn Residents Association listed below:

The following is a summary of what we found to be the situation: . The weeds are overgrown both at the roadside edge and along walls of all the footpaths. In fact the only area free of weeds is along the green area at the entrance to Willbrook Lawn, which the residents clear up regularly. . The footpath (which is very narrow) along The Millhouse is totally overgrown and inaccessible. . The Whitechurch River is overgrown with weeds and has become a dumping ground for rubbish. . Where overhang of shrubbery has been cut back, it has not been removed completely from the footpaths and as a result it is very dangerous walking along the footpath at certain areas, especially from the Ford Centre up to Whitecliffe. . The greenery at the edge of the road just before St. Gatien’s Court is an eyesore – full of weeds and rubbish."
