(circulated herewith)

Motion
Meeting:
Submitted by:
Councillor G. O'Connell

That this Committee supports the Community Grants system operated by this Council and calls on management to protect these Grants in the current financial constraints and climate and that this matter be fully discussed.  Many community organisations have expressed grave concern at the reported discontinuation of these grants as in most cases they make the difference between a community activity going ahead and not and the little money given by the Council has a multiplier effect locally.
