That this Committee notes the detailed report provided in reply to Question No. 34 at the Area Committee Meeting of 21st October 2009, and requests the Manager to require the developer to replace the public light standard in the corner of Tullyhall Park, Lucan (in the vicinity of house numbers 11, 13) which was removed when an entrance was created to the Eleveden Properties Development, and provide bollards at the right hand south corner of the green open space to prevent cars being driven over the footpath and green space, before the estate is taken in charge.
To ask the Manager if he will note that agreement was reached some considerable time ago with the Committee of the Residents Association of Liffey Valley Park, Lucan to install permanent bollards, of suitable and aesthetically pleasing design at Liffey Crescent (as conditioned in the original Planning Permission for the development) and if he will provide an updated report on the matter, including reasons for the delay in implementing the agreement and if there has been any interaction with the Residents Association in the recent past?
That this Committee requests the Manager to recognise Palmerstown Rangers FC as the legal successors to Palmerstown Rangers Sporting & Leisure Limited so as to allow, without any further delay, the granting of the proposed lease to the club in respect of facilities at Mill Lane, Palmerstown.
That this Committee calls on the Manager responsible to have the footpaths in Palmerstown Village repaired as a matter of extreme urgency. The “cobble locking” installed some years ago was never a success and is now in a highly dangerous condition. Many of the paving stones are loose causing pedestrians to trip (some have fallen) and in wet weather they squirt water onto shoes, feet and clothing.
That the Manger would request the Traffic Management Section to investigate the situation at the entrance to St. Andrew's National School, Chapel Hill, Lucan with a view to installing a yellow box junction at this location.
