Scheduling of Pilot Meetings for the Lucan and Clondalkin Area Committee Meetings
To ask the Manger for a report on the area between the Covert and Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown and specifically on what action has been taken (with or without the Gardaí) to bring it into and maintain it in a manner that reflects the fact that this is a residential area and a passage way for pedestrians. It is used as a hangout for anti-social behaviour including drinking parties and is perpetually strewn with empty beer cans, broken bottles, remnants of fires and general litter. Despite the best efforts of dedicated workers from this Council the area is a focal point for graffiti and is anything but a pleasant place to have to pass through or to live beside.
To ask the Manager if he will present a report for discussion on the implementation of the Brown Bin system in the Lucan-Clondalkin Electoral Areas, since the introduction and in particular if he will provide information on the presentation rates of the Brown Bins?

"That this Committee recommends that the Pillars at Glenlyon Estate be painted - they have been destroyed following work on QBC - the cost of a ltr. of paint would demonstrate that this Council have some consideration for those people who have 'endured' major disruption during those major roads works. There may be staff in some departments that could be seconded to do this job taking into consideration that there is no funding now for major new works."
