QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the Manager to arrange for the clean-up of the green space adjacent to 28 Knockmore Drive where constant dumping takes place to the detriment of local residents?"

REPLY:

The open space in question is under the control of the Council's Parks Department. They have reported that this open space is regularly used as a dumping ground and a place where fires occur at all times of the year. It is one of the most frequently cleaned open spaces in the County and while in former times it was possible to have the area cleaned as frequently as once a week, reduced resources no longer make this possible.

The Parks Department have however further reported that they will do a clean up of the area over the coming weeks
