That this Committee rejects the recent decisions to reduce the number of Special Needs Assistants in Primary and Second Level Schools, is seriously concerned about the consequences for Special Needs students in Lucan schools, in relation to, e.g., access to practical subjects, and asks the Manager to write to the Minister for Education and Skills requesting that the Special Needs Assistant Programme be reviewed and savings be sought from the budgets of other Departments.
To ask the Manager for a report on any progress made in finalising the taking-in-charge of the grass verges at the entrance from Griffeen Avenue to Rossberry/Tullyhall and Hayden's Park Estates and the Open Space on Griffeen Glen Boulevard Estate?
To ask the Manager for a progress report on measures being implemented by the Park's Department, in consultation with residents, to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area of the Moy Glas / Esker / Riada Embankment?
To ask the Manger for a report on the removal of graffiti in the Palmerston area year to date and for an indication when the remainder of this work which I requested some time back will be carried out?

To ask the Manager if he will present an updated report on work done by the Council to remove graffiti throughout Lucan and Palmerston in the last year and if he will advise if there has been a reduction in the number of incidents of graffiti, what funding has been made available to these areas from the Anti Litter and Graffiti Awareness Funding, how much of this work has been outsourced and what measures are being implemented to tackle graffiti hotspots?
To ask the Manager to write to the Traffic Corps of the Gardaí asking for a report on the enforcement of the 3 tonne limit on Kennelsfort Road, how many HGVs were stopped on this route, how many were deemed to be travelling it illegally and what consequences were imposed on those found to be in breach of this limit?
To ask the Manager if the Council are using an up-to-date contact list for all of the schools located in the Lucan/Palmerston areas? And to state what regular contact is made with the schools concerning relevant information, issues or events that the Council organises?
To ask the Manager if he will consider locating a dedicated dog-walking area within Griffeen Valley Park?
To ask the Manager about the up-to-date situation regarding the deal between Castlethorn Construction and the Department of Education to locate a temporary school building for Esker Education in Adamstown and also to state the relationship between this arrangement and the delivery of a Sports Hall for the community and for Adamstown Community College?
To ask the Manager to advise if this Council owns the area of land between the boundary walls to both the Foxborough Road green area and Thomas Omer Way/Grange Castle Road; and if so to request that the Council would ensure improved maintenance and general security of this area which is subject to very serious graffiti (on the boundary walls), trespassing, bonfires, drinking parties and illegal dumping?
"To ask the Manager when will the damaged ramps on roads in Tallaght, especially the Castletymon Road, be repaired and can he advise if repairs are not carried out in this financial year, is it possible to remove the severely damaged top layers of the ramps, in an effort to prevent damage to vehicle tyres?"

To ask the Manager if he has taken account of the safety concerns of residents whose houses front onto Willsbrook Road and whose driveways traverse the intended location of a new cycle path at this location? To further ask if the Manager will be engaging in consultation with these residents regarding their safety concerns and the possible disruption that will take place as a result of works associated with the cycle path?
To ask the Manager if he will officially relay the sincere gratitude of many Lucan/Palmerston residents to the Litter Warden for the highly commendable work done through-out a particularly busy period of estate clean-ups?
To ask the Manager if he is aware of the works been undergone on Mill Lane on listed buildings (ruins) on the left hand side of the road as you approach the Sun Chemical property and to ask the Manager will he comment on whether there are enforcement implications regarding this matter?
To ask the Manager to arrange for removal of graffiti from the name-plaque to Willsbrook Park (on Willsbrook Road), from the new information signage board in Willsbrook Park and from other new information signage boards in other parks across Lucan?
