"That the Council outlines an ongoing maintenance plan for the pathway into Dodder Linear park at Cherryfield (the bottom of Knocklyon Road/Firhouse Road) and specifically the pathway around and to the rear of the Traveller Accommodation and to present a report on the state of this pedestrian area."
"That the Manager outline what steps are being taken from a planning perspective to locate a children's playground in the Knocklyon area."
That the Manager reports on the following question placed on 2 previous agendas:
"To ask the Manager to give a report on the poor condition of litter bins, bus shelter and service units on the Brookfield Road given no action whatsoever has been taken since this matter was discussed 2 months ago at the Tallaght area committee?"
"That this Committee agrees:
That the NRA deliver immediately on its commitments with regard to the landscaping of the Southern Cross Route leg of the M50 from Balrothery to the county boundary with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown which it has so far failed to deliver on - the landscaping is substandard and pathetic; indeed the Roads Director committed to allocating 'final' funding towards such much-needed work;
and the complete landscaping of St Colmcille's Way from Orlagh Roundabout to the M50 interchange be included in this work;
and that the contents of this motion be submitted directly to the NRA with a view to receiving a formal speedy response."
That the Council agrees to investigate the provision of a BMX park in South Dublin County and identified suitable locations, including the Knocklyon
"That the Manager prepare a design for marked out parking spaces at the shops at Orchardstown Park and to be included in this years roads budget."
"To ask the Manager what plans are envisaged for the area adjacent to Scoil Chriost/Cookstown Rd, and will consideration be given to residents ongoing requests that it be utilized as a pick-up/drop-off point for school traffic?"
To ask the Manager what costs have been incurred in collection of illegal dumping within Tallaght Central area and furnish members with the tonnage amounts both pre and post privatisation of the waste services ?
"That this Committee requests the Manager to present a detailed report, for discussion, on both the Lucan Community Initiative and the future of the Lucan Sports and Leisure Centre."
"That this Committee requests the Manager to present a detailed report on any changes being proposed to deliver more frequent cleansing of the litter & dumping blackspots identified by elected members ahead of; and at the briefing held in April on foot of my previous proposal; and further noting the concerns expressed in particular regarding issues the vicinity of the Ballyowen Castle area, requests the Manager to facilitate a meeting between elected members, officials and representatives of the owners and/or management of commercial premises in the Ballyowen Castle area, so as to allow for discussion of the issues of concern in the area."
That the Manager comment on recent legislation regarding burials without coffins with reference to the Newlands Cross grounds
"That this Area Committee, noting that approximately 3,000 children and young people attend the three primary schools and two secondary schools located north of the N4; further noting however that the vast majority of these children and young people live south of the N4; requests that this Council prioritise efforts, in conjunction with National Transport Authority, to seek to introduce measures to increase the percentage of children and young people travelling to/from these five schools by sustainable modes; including, for example, measures such as: school bus services. pedestrian/cycle safety measures along Grange Castle Road and measures to improve the safety and perception of safety in the vicinity of Willsbrook Park N4 footbridge."
