"To ask the Chief Executive to assists Lucan Village with the provision of Christmas tree lights for 2015 to ensure that these lights are in place in time for the Christmas season. The centre island within the village would be an excellent focal point for Christmas tree lights enhancing the festive atmosphere and encouraging more residents to visit the village over the festive period?"

That this committee calls on the Chief Executive Officer to make direct contact with Government and Government agencies to stress the need for job creation initiatives in the Tallaght area which still suffers from a serious unemployment problem and in  reporting to the motion  will the Chief Executive Officer also confirm reports in place from the Council in respect of the Enterprise Centres throughout Tallaght.

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive Officer to implement an effective action  programme to deal with the litter problem throughout the Tallaght area and if he would confirm any plans for the greater use of CCTV to deal with the issue and any plans to increase the penalties for litter crime and in reporting will he also state if he believes that the problem will increase over the Christmas period.

"That this Council undertakes to identify street lights which are currently covered or shaded by overgrown trees and arrange for these trees to be pruned. As many trees in Lucan are maturing they are blocking the street lights and creating a safety hazard due to very poor street lighting."

"That the Chief Executive advertise and seek expressions of interest in the design, construction and operation of a public swimming pool for Lucan through a public/private partnership arrangement. As capital funding is currently very limited all options for funding a swimming pool and sport facility should be explored and examined."
