Paul Hynes OP, of Tallaght Welfare Society, at the bridge across the by pass at Tallaght Village/St. Dominics noting that a Name Stone was erected at the site when the original bridge was opened in 1979 but was lost when the new bridge was built and will he appreciate the wide support in the Tallaght area for such provision?"

That this Committee calls for a meeting with Councillors, Senior management in Public Realm, Housing and Community Services to review issues relating to Halloween and illegal bonfires in Clondalkin in 2014 and to feed into ideas for the county wide approach to Halloween in 2015. This meeting should take place before the end of March.
"To ask the Chief Executive for a update on the request to the January traffic management meeting for installation of zebra crossing at Foxborough Road, at Centra; and that a pedestrian/vehicle count be conducted to ascertain if a warrant is met?"
"To ask the Chief Executive Officer if any action is open to him under the Derelict Sites Act in respect of the unfinished apartment blocks on Cookstown Road and in reporting will he appreciate the concern of the local community in respect of the issue?"
"To ask the Chief Executive for a detailed update on the design and implementation of the planned TRIAL mini-roundabout and safe crossing points at the Newcastle Road/Hillcrest Road junction; and of other measures to improve traffic flow at Newcastle Road including possible redesign of the SuperValu roundabout, installation of a SCOOTS system and changes to the 'green light' time afforded to motorists seeking to turn right from the overbridge to the N4 eastbound; and to ask if any of these measures will be funded by way of the recent €250,000 allocation from the National Transport Authority?"

That this committee calls on the Chief Executive Officer to convene a meeting of the Gardai and local residents to discuss the ongoing problems with anti-social behavior in the environs of the Sean Wash Park area.
"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to fully examine a suite of measures to improve road safety and traffic management at Mount Bellew Way, outside Lucan Educate Together NS; including:

- The possible installation of a raised crossing, with associated signage, in place of the existing cross outside the school, replicating the raised crossing recently installed outside Galescoil Naomh Padraig;

- Provision of parallel parking spaces on Mount Bellew Way and the possible redesign of the turning point at the Mount Bellew apartments end of the road; and to examine if such works could be funded as part of an extension of the current Willsbrook Road cycle scheme;

- Provision of a car-parking and drop-off space on the council-owned site next to the school, once the builders compound currently located here is vacated; and

- the repainting of road markings on Mount Bellew Way."
"To ask the Chief Executive, further to my previous motions and the most recent discussions on this matter, to provide an update on the request by residents for taking-in-charge of those opens spaces at Ash Park estate which have been offered by the developer for transfer?"
That the Chief Executive offers either half or more of the financial support to Tidy Towns regarding the development of the Camac river outside the Council offices. This is the main project for Tidy Towns this year. The cost will be in the field of €10 - €15k
To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report indicating the number of homeless families (and the total number of children) on the waiting list for emergency accommodation on the 1st of each month for the last 12 months and to detail the length of time each family was on the list as of the 1st of February 2015.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the leasing of the former motor tax office in Clondalkin indicating who the new tenant will be and when they will move in to the building?
To ask the Chief Executive to provide a clear guide detailing what aspects of water services Councillors can request the Council to deal with directly and what aspects require Councillors to deal with Irish Water and to explain where responsibility for roads and water services overlaps and how councillors should process requests for water related works such as drain clearing and surface water floods?
During the term of the previous Council I sought a report on the idea of a walkway/cycleway from Clondalkin village to the canal path greenway at the Knockmitten/Woodford entrance via the Watery Lane. To ask the Chief Executive if it would be possible for this report to be considered again and what are the chances of NRA permeability funding being accessed for this project.
To ask the Chief Executive what can be done by the Council to assist the Clondalkin Tidy Towns biodiversity group as it strives to improve the presentation of Clondalkin Park (community centre), with particular reference to the Camac River and its banks, bridges and weirs?
To ask the Chief Executive what can be done to improve the footpaths on both sides of the New Nangor Road from the Ninth Lock junction towards Parkwest? Work has begun on cutting back shrubbery adjacent to the M50 overpass. However, this needs to be continued in the direction of Parkwest. Also, the section of footpath between the Ninth Lock and the overpass on the Canal side of the road needs attention as there are bushes encroaching on the footpath. Could a plan be formulated to improve this footpath as it is very well used by leisure walkers and those walking to work.
To ask the Chief Executive if the Woodford Walk area has been taken in charge? If so, why have the beech hedges in the area not been cut and the area tidied and cleaned?
