That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to install a second ramp on the old Naas Road outside the residential properties. Since the installation of a ramp on the old Naas Road, planning permission has been granted for Keenan refrigeration to develop their site, which will see an increase in traffic and HGV's.
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to look at the possibility of two infill houses being built in between the laneway on Brookview Drive.
"That the Chief Executive states what is the status of the access, for the new schools in Firhouse, from the Killininny Road side? The schools have been in operation for some time yet these gates remain closed.
An update as to when it is proposed to use these gates would be appreciated."
To ask the Chief Executive will he please confirm the number of Planning Applications submitted so far this year and will he detail how many relate to Housing accommodation and business, will he give such detail in respect of each electoral area.
To ask the Chief Executive if he would confirm the number of families who have registered as homeless with the Council so far this year and will he detail what action has been taken in respect of these applications.
To ask the Chief Executive if he will confirm that staff are still deployed to litter picking throughout the County and especially along the main road arteries of the County and in reporting will he confirm the frequency of such litter picks and the schedule being followed and will he respond to the view that has been expressed that the main roads leading to our towns in the County require particular attention.
To ask the Chief Executive with regard to the provision of both social and affordable housing in 2016, if he will set out the planned number of completions and acquisitions for the calendar year and if he will break down these numbers in each of the respective categories by area committee.
To ask the Chief Executive in relation to the recent report in the Irish Times which noted that access to fitness programmes in the workplace improve the overall health and well-being of employees and that many employers are now offering free fitness regimes to their staff, will he state if he has any plans to introduce such a programme in this Council in view of his sector leading approach to overall health and well-being initiatives.
"That the Chief Executive present proposals for the acquisition of lands in Newcastle that could provide for open space such as a public park and play space."
