"That this Committee asks that the Chief Executive to arrange an onsite meeting with a group of representatives that use the Dog Park in Griffeen to discuss how future structures could be introduced to the facility to supplement the existing facility in place. Also a number of dog owners have asked if assistance could be provided to set up a group that would become a link between the council management and all dog users of the park which could benefit park/dog park users and council management".

"That this Area Committee, noting that Griffeen Avenue represents one of the worst traffic blackspots in our County; believes that improvements are required irrespective of whether a new Clonburris SDZ is adopted or not and irrespective of development occurring on lands adjoining Griffeen Avenue or not; therefore recommends that detailed plans be prepared and that provision be made in the next Rolling Capital Programme for a Griffeen Avenue Traffic Improvement Scheme to incorporate:

- Upgrade of Griffeen Avenue/Road junction;

- Widening of Griffeen Avenue to provide two eastbound lanes from the Griffeen Avenue/Road junction to the Grangecastle Road junction;

- Recessing of bus-stops on each side of Griffeen Avenue outside Moy Glas."
