To ask for an update in relation to the proposed flood walls at Woodview Cottages, Rathfarnham
That this Council considers putting the bin back at the top of Spider Hill, Rathfarnham, where it is more needed, and in this regard, possibly relocating one of the new bins to here.
That this Council ensures that the Whitechurch Stream Flood Alleviation Scheme prioritises and expedites the flood defence works at or near Grange Park, Rathfarnham, to ensure that the area does not flood again.
Could the Council ensure that the Fibre sub duct contractor come back and relay the damaged grass verges at the small roundabout on Anne Devlin Road Rathfarnham. The grass verges on both sides of the road at the green area where damaged while the contractor was repairing the telecom underground duct and by vans and trucks driving up on the green area when there was traffic management at the roundabout. Please see attached photos.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on when the disabled parking bay outside Brittas Community Centre will be painted blue to improve its visibility and ensure it is identifiable to all road users.
That this Area Committee requests that Clondalkin and Saggart are included in the newly expanded High Visibility Garda Policing Plan announced recently. We commit to write to the Garda Commissioner, Local Superintendent and the Minister for Justice and demand an urgent response to our request.
That this Area Committee supports Garda High-vis patrol beats for Clondalkin Garda Station.
To ask the Chief Executive to advise when the Council intends to progress the outcome of the recent inspection on the road outside Rathcoole Community Centre, in relation to the proposed installation of public lighting at this location.
To ask the Chief Executive what measures the Council may take to assist residents affected by flooding in seeking future flood insurance post completion of a flood alleviation scheme
4. Summer at Parthalán Place - Library and Arts Office
That this Council calls on the Chief Executive to examine the development of a Public Realm Safety and Accessibility Strategy for the administrative area to enhance safety and accessibility in public spaces, particularly for women and young women, to include an accessible resident reporting and response mechanism, to consult as appropriate with elected members, community groups, An Garda Síochána and other relevant stakeholders, and to report back to the Council with findings and recommendations.
That this Council notes that a new National Drugs Strategy is due to be published, recognises the harms caused by drug dependence to individuals and communities, and calls on the Minister to implement the key recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly on Drug Use and the interim report of the Oireachtas Committee on Drug Use in the development of any new drugs strategy; that a letter be issued to the Minister in this regard.
To ask the Chief Executive to outline the cost involved to install 15 bollards at the new Primary Heatlh Care Centre, Clondalkin, or if not, a ball park figure, e.g. under 10K, 10k or more, 20k, etc
That this Area Committee agree to repair knockmitten centre heating.
That this Area Committee agrees to repair the pool boom at the swimming pool.
