In view of the number of Post Primary schools in our County and the number of additional schools planned, and taking into account the amount of Section 29 Appeals for refusal to enrol that are going through the DDLEB and the DES, owing to the amount of parents or guardians that are missing application dates or acceptance dates, for Post Primary Schools, due to varying forms of notices of when this process starts and finishes, that this Council calls on the Minister of Education and Skills, to introduce a national registration period, applicable to every Post Primary School, in an effort to ensure that each potential pupil is given a fair and equal chance to enrol at the appropriate time, in the school of their choice.
That the Chief Executive requests that the Council pilot solar operated bins in Lucan.

To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the SDZ Planning Scheme for Clonburris. What is required under the plan for infrastructure and facilities and at what stages of the development are these required in particular the number of primary and post primary schools, and any community buildings, transport hubs etc. For example is it expected that any such provision will be provided in tandem with the earliest development of housing at Clonburris (say the first few hundred to a thousand houses to be built there) in particular in terms of schools?
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on traffic congestion in Lucan Village, in particular traffic that passes over the span bridge. Has there been any examination of the impact of this traffic on the structure of the bridge
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on capacity for extension of the mobile Library service in Lucan including estates close to Lucan Village and other parts of Lucan furthest away from Lucan Library, how estates are added to the service, and also for an update on the 'Have Your Say' proposal for mini libraries in public places and its implementation to date by the Library service.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the Adamstown SDZ Planning Scheme in tabular form showing phase by phase what infrastructure, facilities or amenities are required and which have been provided to date and which are due in current or future phases.
