That this committee ask the CE to discuss the inclusion of ‘Bait laying’ as part of planning applications for all future developments. Currently planning applications require construction traffic management plan, dust pollution, noise pollution plans etc. As rodents issue has become a common issue over the last few years the inclusion of ‘Bait laying’ would help solve this matter.

To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the signalised pedestrian crossing in Palmerstown Village that was the subject of a local site visit with Stewarts Hospital and that the need to support independent movement for patrons of Stewarts Hospital, as part of the Council’s inclusive mobility policy, be factored into the criteria when forming an opinion and arriving at a decision on this long awaited and very necessary facility.

This LAC requests that the Chief Executive write to The Minister for Education and Skills and the Minister for Transport to express our grave concern that some children from this LAC are being discriminated against at present and that it be corrected by recognising that Palmerstown Parents have rights and entitlements to seats on the School Bus Service from Palmerstown to Gaelscoil Naomh Padraig, Lucan, as they meet the necessary criteria including distance and catchment or service area for this school. Gaelscoil Naomh Padraig was originally located in Palmerstown but relocated some years ago to a larger premises in Lucan.

To ask that the Chief Executive write to the NRA and the TII (again) requesting that the signage on the M50 and the N4 be corrected to PALMERSTOWN and write (again) to the Liffey Valley Management Company requesting that the signpost at the Cold Cut exit be corrected to PALMERSTOWN and that the SDCC Manager responsible correct the signpost at the Woodies junction on the Old Lucan Road to PALMERSTOWN.

That a full review be carried out into requests by residents (the subject of several motions and questions over the years) for a 3.5T restriction on Kennelsfort Rd, and on the “Cell” between the R148 at the Oval and Kennelsfort road. To include the decision of the full Council (H.12 {11} July 2015) to have a 3.5T restriction on Kennelsfort Rd and the decision of the then Lucan LAC (November 2016 Item ID: 51367) to impose a 3.5T restriction on the cell between the Oval and Kennelsfort Road, neither of which have been acted upon.   And that a full report be brought before this LAC for consideration at the October 2019 meeting.

To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on the possibilities of the council registering in its name, the green space adjacent to the 12th Century church on Mill Lane, Palmerstown, to provide permanent access to this monument. Especially given that the land does not appear to be registered to anybody at present.
