Does the Chief Executive have plans to liaise with the NTA with a view to organising a full, up to date, presentation and briefing in relation to BusConnects for Councillors in each affected LEA and not just in relation to the SPC concerned, given the importance of the subject matter and the implications it will have for many of our constituents.

To ask the Chief Executive Officer for an update on the content of the following motion that was agreed at the June Area Committee Meeting, and in particular can the planning permission for Brookvale Estate be located through searches in the Council and conditions checked to see if there was a condition to do with open space that would require taking in charge by the Council. Please not map showing the lands attached and the area marked HLC8 and SLO:1. The open space is part of this particular land that is designated open space in the County Development Plan.

"That this Committee calls upon the Chief Executive to bring forward plans that will see the cultivation and restoration of the area currently used as builders compound in St. Cuthbert's Park and that the council liaise with interested parties such as the "Friends of St. Cuthbert's" and residents groups to achieve a consensus on the best way to make it an attractive amenity for local people. That the Council immediately initiate a meeting of the High level Task Force for St. Cuthbert's with a view to achieving this goal."

Does SDCC have grass cutting equipment to allow cut grass to be collected and thus removed from grassed areas under the maintenance of Public Realm, in order to allow long-term depletion of Nitrogen stocks in the soil so as to allow a proliferation of non-grass species e.g. wildflowers? If not, how can SDCC have a biodiversity action plan if it is unimplementable due to the lack of relevant machinery?
Have any so-called Dog Behaviourists been employed or contracted by South Dublin County Council in designing how dogs are accommodated in the county's parks?
This council notes the nuisance that arises to local residents from construction workers parking their vehicles on the streets of housing estates in the vicinity of construction sites.
This council further notes the farcical situation that regularly arises with residents contacting local representatives, local representatives contacting Gardaí and traffic wardens, and Gardaí and Traffic wardens using up valuable time and resources pursuing illegally parked vehicles of those working on construction sites.
As a measure of restoring the confidence of citizens of the county in the planning process and that SDCC works for them rather than developers, this council declares that a condition of planning permission of all construction sites greater in size than one dwelling in the county, have an employee parking plan in place for the duration of construction, which clearly delineates where legal parking will occur without causing an undue nuisance to local residents and wasting the valuable resources of the Gardaí Síochána and Traffic Wardens.
That this Council ensures that all future contracts entered into with private contractors to carry out works on behalf of this local authority, will ensure that a clause will be included that states that glyphosate based products can no longer be used by them or the Local Authority, in relation to any work that is carried out on our behalf.
