To ask the Manager to provide details as to how he will resolve the now long-standing local issue of the huge mounds at the rear of the houses on Tullyhall Rise, Lucan? These banks of soil and debris are the cause of serious loss of visual amenity and the increase of rats in Tullyhall Estate.

To ask this Committee to thank the Manager for agreeing to my request to increase the height of the boundary wall at Westbury Court Estate and the Newcastle Road, given the increased variance in the ground levels on either side of this wall since the widening of the Newcastle Road brought about an increase in height of the footpath on the Newcastle Road.

Question

To ask the Manager to report on what new pedestrian facilities will be introduced to facilitate residents to safely access Liffey Valley Town Centre and other nearby commercial outlets, including the Clarion Hotel, the Arc Bar, local Motor Retail outlets etc., from nearby local residential areas including Liffey Valley Park Estate, Mount Andrew Estate etc., and the newly developed St. Edmunds. Recently I was requested by a local resident to undertake this challenge and walk the aforementioned route. This transpired to be one of the most dangerous experiences I encountered in recent times owing to the lack of safe pedestrian facilities at this location. Will the Manager set out in detail what remedies he will now introduce to resolve this problem prior to any serious incident taking place?
