That the Manager presents a detailed report for discussion on the many years of delays in the Taking-In-Charge of the green open space in Abbeywood Court in Abbeywood Estate, Lucan. The ongoing threat of further development in Abbeywood Court continues to be of great concern to the local Community, and after approximately twelve years, it is now long past the time to have this green open space Taken-In-Charge by South Dublin County Council.
That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on rates applicable to childcare facilities, including crèches, Montessori schools etc. Would the Manager report on how rates have been adjusted in recent years, included in percentage terms, in say 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 and what changes in the rates are planned for 2008. In the event of any increase in these rates, it is inevitable these increases will be absorbed by parents of children attending childcare facilities, who are already hard-pressed with huge costs associated with childcare facilities.
That this Council has no confidence in the Health Services Executive (HSE) and calls on the Government and the Minister for Health and Children to abolish the HSE and replace it with an efficient body that will have the professionalism and commitment to deliver a modern, effective and caring Health Service.

To ask the Manager to report on the number of occasions that the installation of solar panels have been included in planning applications, the number of successful applications and the number of applications refused or conditioned to be omitted and reason for the decision, since 1st January 2007 and will he make a statement on the matter?

To ask the Manager is he aware of any pre-plan consultations or has the Council any plans of its own in relation to the section of the Old Greenhills Road beside the Priory and St Basils.
To ask the Manager if he has plans to resurface in part or in full all of Kiltipper Road given the considerable amount of traffic that uses this road on a continuous basis, and if it is likely that this work will take place during 2008, and if he will make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Manager if he will recognise the deep frustration of residents who live in Vershocyle, Saggart Abbey, in connection with the failure on the part of the developer who has built Citywest Shopping Centre to meet in full landscaping and other issues which were clearly outlined in the original Planning Application, and if he could specify exactly when the open area of land between Verschoyle Drive and the Shopping Centre would be landscaped to the satisfaction of South Dublin County Council, as intended in the original Planning Application, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

That the Manager brings forward a report detailing the criteria used in approving the development of new estates and in particular guidelines in relation to boundary treatment, including with neighbouring estates, safety features and the naming of roads and estates and that the matter be fully discussed.
That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee requests the Manager to bring forward proposals to finish the boundary walls left unfinished at Foxborough Estate, Lucan and recommends that the Council should be prepared to carry out the necessary work in view of the fact that it failed to enforce the requirements regarding the walls stipulated in the Planning Permission for the estate.
That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee notes that the development by Eleveden Properties adjacent to Tullyhall Estate, Lucan is taking a long time to complete, causing inconvenience to residents of Tullyhall Estate, and asks if the Manager will make a statement on the matter.
