Question
Meeting:
Submitted by:
Councillor D. Corrigan
Responsibility:
C AC Meeting Administrator

To ask the Manager to write to Dublin Bus, asking it to outline plans to expand services in the light of the removal of the Circle Bus service, which is now seriously affecting commuters, and to clarify whether any requests have been made to the Minister regarding the expansion of such services, especially in the light of the Minister for Transport's response to a parliamentary question to the effect that no request had been made; and if Dublin Bus will further clarify the following specific queries:

a) Would it be feasible to split the 25A service into 2 separate services in South Lucan so that people don't spend 30mins at peak times traveling through estates before getting out on the N4?

b) Would it be possible to provide more buses on the 25 route?

c) There is a new 151 service operating from Adamstown Station heading down the Adamstown Link Rd serving Adamstown with yet less than 700 houses occupied. This service could better serve Lucan South at present if it commenced at The Superquinn Centre before heading for Adamstown station – until such a time the population of Adamstown increases. At present it leaves Adamstown most mornings almost empty while people 500mts down the road wait for an overstretched 25A. Could an extension of the 151 route along these lines be considered?
