That this Committee agrees to re-do the doorways in the new housing in Kilcronan Court, Clondalkin (e.g. nos. 57 & 58) so that people cannot congregate in the sheltered areas that currently exist there.

That this Committee acknowledges both the work carried out by Council staff with regard to water supply problems experienced since the beginning of 2010, and the inconvenience and, in some cases, hardship experienced by residents in this area due to these issues. This Committee requests that, in the interests of future planning and information, the Manager provide a report on the affect of the water shortages broken down by area, showing which estates have suffered the most significant problems.

That this Committee agrees that an invoice received by Gaelscoil na Camoige, Watery Lane, Clondalkin from a contractor who lay water pipes to the school on behalf of South Dublin County Council in order that the school would have its own water system and water meter be waived.

That this Committee requests the Manager to present a detailed report, for discussion, on any changes that have been implemented over the past 6 months with regards to the signal configurations of traffic lights along the Outer Ring Road in Lucan including at the Ballyowen/Willsbrook, Castle Road (Penny Hill) and Griffeen Avenue/Foxborough junctions; to include in this report the details and outcomes of any monitoring and analysis of tailbacks along the approach roads to the Outer Ring Road at these 3 junctions, to report on whether tailbacks on these approach roads have been alleviated in any way as a result of the implementation to date of changes to traffic light signal configurations; and if not, to outline what further steps are now being examined by the Roads Department to address the serious traffic congestion still faced by resident motorists using these approach roads and three Outer Ring Road junctions in particular since the closure of the N4-Esker Lane slip road.

To ask the Manager, to agree to make further representations to the Minister for Education and Science on the issue of the Lucan South Secondary School, in noting the long-standing campaign, my earlier motions to the area committee, including my motion of April 2007 following public meetings I convened, which launched this campaign and following which the Lucan South Secondary School Action Group was formed, and now requests the Minister to indicate his intentions to open this local second-level school in September 2010 in the light of the previous local target date of September 2009 not been realised?

This Committee, concerned at the ongoing cuts to Community Development Projects in this catchment area, calls on the Manager to give a report outlining the work carried out by these projects, how many face closure, the staff numbers involved, the project users and groups that will be directly impacted on as a result of this Governments action.
