To amend Section 3.4.3.iii Neighbourhood/Small Town/Village Centre as follows (additional text in bold):
‘3.4.3.iii Neighbourhood/Small Town/Village Centre
These centres usually provide for one supermarket or discount foodstore generally ranging in size from 1,000-1,500m2 with a limited range of supporting shops and retail services, cafes and possible other services such as post offices or community facilities or health clinics grouped together to create a focus for the local population.’
To amend Section 4.3.7.xiii Policy LHA15 Heritage and Biodiversity Plan
To insert new LZO as follows:
‘Spawell, Templeogue- Mixed Use Redevelopment
‘Facilitate redevelopment of the Spawell Sorts and Leisure Centre, Wellington Lane, Templeogue, for commercial, leisure, health, well-being, education and recreational purposes. An acceptable development proposal would include a sports centre incorporating indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and complementary mixed uses including an ancillary hotel of 200 bedrooms with conference facilities and integral staff accommodation, a nursing home, primary healthcare and step-down healthcare facilities or other similar scheme. Any development on the lands to be carefully designed to a scale and height appropriate to its proximity to the Green Belt.’

‘44: Greenogue – Completion of New Road
‘It is an objective of the Council to provide at the earliest possible date a new link road between the Peamount Road and Aylmer Road to facilitate the development of zoned industrial lands and to divert through traffic away from Newcastle village centre. The Department of Defence shall be consulted in relation to this development’.
Amend 2.2.25.i Policy T19: National Routes.
That the Manager would present a detailed report on the activities at, and usage of Ballyowen Castle Community Centre, Lucan. Would the Manager also include a detailed report on car parking facilities available to users of the community centre, including the number of car spaces available to established user groups of the centre including Liffey Sound 96.4FM, Lucan Disability Action Group, Lucan Home-Start and Citizen's Information Centre, in addition to the other users of the centre, and what provisions have been made in the Ballyowen car park for the benefit of disabled drivers?
To ask the Manager for a report on the progress in dealing with reported dampness and condensation in the homes in Foxdene, Lucan, to indicate when it is expected that the problem will be eliminated and to make a statement on the matter?
To introduce an additional policy after Section 1.2.52.iv (Policy H32) and before Section 1.2.52.v (Policy H33) of the draft development plan.

To amend Section 3.2.22 General Guidance for Development in the Vicinity of Aerodromes

‘38: Corkagh Park – Sporting Centre
To promote Corkagh Park as a sporting centre of excellence for the County to further complement its existing facilities such as the sports and leisure centre, swimming pool, all weather pitches, tennis courts, grass pitches, fishing lakes, baseball ground, etc. Any work in this area, such as provision of lakes/water features or development likely to cause pooling of water, which may pose an attractant for waterfowl and therefore might in turn pose a threat to air safety at Casement Aerodrome, should be subject to consultation with the Department of Defence’.
(1) To amend Table 2.2.4 to omit Retail Centres and Retail Stores and
(2) To amend Section 2.2.34 to insert the following additional table
That this Committee noting the new specific local objective proposed by me and included in the draft County Development Plan 'to redevelop lands at the Bush Centre & Parochial House at Foxdene in partnership with the Parish of South Lucan, to include delivery of a new community centre for the Balgaddy/South Lucan area'; requests the Community Services and Housing Departments to meet with the parish to initiate a dialogue on how to progress this long-term objective and to further discuss other matters of mutual interest relating to community development in the Balgaddy/South Lucan area.

That the Manager arranges that the drain outside 24, St. Ronan's Gardens, Clondalkin be repaired. This has been an ongoing issue for some time now.
That the Manager outline if there are any fire / safety issues in the council houses in Lealand Gardens, Clondalkin due to the fact that there should be 600mm between bedroom windows and beds. Can this be rectified in the houses in Lealand Gardens? Does South Dublin County Council inform all tenants of grants available for work to be done / insulations?
