"That this Committee agrees the following actions in respect of continuous illegal dumping adjacent to Woodfield (addresses included):
To contact the adjoining landowner to seek their assistance in securing the land where there is livestock and horses present;
erect a 'No Dumping' sign;
ensure the Cleansing Unit includes the hedgerow area in its schedule of cleansing in Woodfield;
engage the Environmental health Officer to check the area for reported vermin;
engage the Litter Warden to actively monitor the area for illegal organic and waste dumping;
consider a leaflet drop of local houses regarding illegal dumping in the hedgerow area including the fines appropriate for such an offence."
That this Committee congratulates the Parks Department on the Arboricultural Programme and receives an update on the figures for the Tallaght South ward.
That this Committee agrees to a lockable container at the back of the Steering Wheel pub, Council owned land, for Tidy Towns to store equiptment
"That this Committee review the decision re Headed Item 10 -
"Report on proposed extinguishment of public right of way over sliver of land on Butterfield Court to the rear of 16 and 18 Butterfield Crescent, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14"
with a view to overturning the decision of the Committee in April."
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for a serious effort to be made to address the significant problem of potholes and other damage to the Road surface at Whitestown Drive leading to Whitestown Rd as the previous 'efforts' were not sufficient and the Rate Payers on this stretch of Road should be entitled to an expectation that the Road surface would be maintained to a good standard that does not damage their vehicles or goods being transported in those vehicles and that the aesthetics in this regard are conducive to a positive business physical Environment.
That appropriate action be taken to fully secure the former Cleanbuild premises on Bohernabreena Road, and to ensure that the site is made safe, given recent incidents with youths walking along the roof despite its defective and potentially dangerous condition.
"That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide a report on what efforts are being made to ensure that Greyhound waste disposal are fulfilling their obligations by removing bins from households that have transfered their business to another provider in the Tallaght area and what advice can be provided to householders of which there are many that have been unable to have their bins removed despite their best efforts".
"That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide a detailed report highlighting what progress has been in relation to progressing the proposed MUGA at Dominic's Community Centre since the meeting between the Amplifying Voices project and the Parks Dept which took place on Wednesday March 20th. That this report indicate - has the funding stream from the Dept of Children been opened for submissions, has the report compiled by the children in the project which outlines their canvass reports, their design proposals based on same and their experiences and lessons learned so far been collected from them yet as agreed, has this report been included in the application for funding and finally has the application for funding been completed taking into consideration the time and effort that the children have put into the project and their expectation of the Councils full support in fulfilling its obligations by submitting the application as soon as the funding stream opens".
With the Gathering events about to commence in the County, this Committee call on the Manager to ensure that all intended venues that are to be used for such events are in excellent condition, paying particular attention to the main access road to the Basketball Arena, and ensuring that the public lighting is in full working condition and that the road surface is free of potholes.
To ask the Manager for the unemployment figures for the County broken down by area committee if possible and broken down by age cohort?
"That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the erection or installation of the barriers at 338 Cushlawn Park, Killinarden as was agreed back in the June of 2011 as there as continues to be an issue of unauthorised and illegal access of vehicles to the vast lands directly adjacent to the house which is causing a significant public safety issues and has resulted in the residents boundary wall to be demolished on more than one occassion".
