That the Chief Executive looks into the possibility of allowing on a pilot basis the opening of the barriers on the Grand Canal Green Cycle route at particularly times in the mornings and evenings to allow flow of access. This would allow for quicker journeys and a more user friendly environment for all users of the cycle/pedestrian route.
This Committee agrees that the Council should organise a mini soccer league in Balgaddy as part of the ongoing attempts to provide young people with positive pro-community activities as part of an overall plan to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area.

To ask the Chief Executive for a schedule of works at Clondalkin Lesiure Centre, regarding car park surfacing, general maintenance and upgrading.
This Committee agrees that the Council replace the street signage in Moorefield with the correct Irish translation asap. The Council have agreed to do this work on two occassions and it has not been done as of the timing of this motion.
To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the 2014 budget allocation for Tidy Towns in the SDCC and Clondalkin areas detailing; the total amount to be spent; the total amount to be spent in the Clondalkin LEA; the decision making process to determine how this money is spent; and detail of spending to date and decisions on spending to date.

That the Chief Executive updates Councillors on the action taken in relation to Derelict Sites : RIC Barracks; Lexington; Esso; Raheen House
That this Committee supports the immediate opening of a pedestrian gap to enable residents from Alpine and Ashwood to access the Fonthill Road without having to climb over a wall which is topped with a fence, as we pointed out during debates on this issue over the last few years, this is a serious accident waiting to happen and failure to open a pedestrian gap, with or without a cycle path, is unthinkable.
That this Committee agrees that the Council in conjunction with the Round Towers GAA club should increase the provision of juvenile GAA pitches in Corkagh Park.
