That this council applauds the work of council staff who have been working with communities and with GAA clubs in our county to encourage the participation of a large number of our citizens in the Operation Transformation initiative.
That the Chief Executive presents this Council with a report on any applications made on foot of the temporarily reopened swimming pool programme at national level, outlines the likely percentage cost of any overall projects this will cover; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
That consultations take place with the Travelling Community in planning for the Development Plan and these consultations provide a base for the development of housing, services and education for the Travelling Community within SDCC. These consultations should allow for the rich culture and diversity of members of the Travelling Community.
That SDCC recognises that all people with a disability have a right to full and meaningful participation and active inclusion in an accessible, safe and disability friendly environment throughout the county. To ask the Chief Executive to carry-out works in 2015, in conjunction with the NRA and/or its contractors, to improve the attractiveness of strategic junctions and exits from national primary roads in our County, for example, at key gateways leading to our County's Villages, Grange Castle International Business Park, etc?
That SDCC ensures that the former RIC building on Old Nangor Road which is up for sale is preserved in its present format and is not allowed to decay any further and is also included in a heritage plan for the Clondalkin area and included in the Development Plan.
To ask the Chief Executive to outline a timeframe for the installation of new 'welcome' signage at key gateways to Villages in our County?
To ask the Chief Executive to mount an information campaign, through the Local Enterprise Office, to better promote the ‘Online Trading Voucher Scheme’ among small businesses and retailers in our County?
To ask the Chief Executive to outline this Council’s plans to develop new allotments in 2015, including the locations under consideration?
That each area be afforded a designated green space that cannot be built on and each area have a park especially Newcastle in the Clondalkin area.
That bring centres are placed strategically and in an accessible manner in every village of SDCC in order to deal with waste in a sustainable and recycling manner in order to protect our environment.
"Pedestrian guard rails are used to separate pedestrians and vehicles at junctions. London recently removed 60kms of it's existing 200kms of pedestrian guard rails. That recognising the significant street clutter across the Rathfarnham/Templeogue/Terenure areas, a lack of visual appeal and the mixed evidence that they reduce pedestrian accidents, this motion seeks to start a discussion on the issue and requests South Dublin County Council policy on pedestrian guard rails."
That given the scale of the homeless crisis that a homeless hostel is built in the Clondalkin area and that this hostel caters for people from all South Dublin County.
