The County Development Plan shall, where possible, facilitate an increase in the provision of parking spaces in older housing estates to 1.3 spaces per housing unit
That this Council develops a major multifunctional sport and community centre in Lucan.
It is the policy of this Council to maintain the Bush Centre.
It shall be an objective of the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan to seek the support of and to work in collaboration with Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, Kildare County Council, the OPW, existing landowners and community groups including the Liffey Valley Park Alliance to promote and develop a Liffey Valley Park along the lines promoted by and campaigned for by the Liffey Valley Park Alliance.
The County Development plan will seek to resolve problems arising from disused entries/laneways in housing estates through the transfer of land to properties where such transfers reduce anti-social behaviour and maintenance costs to the Council.
That this Council inserts a specific objective in the Development Plan to provide multi use facilities, incorporating schools, community meeting areas, shared indoor and outdoor playing facilities, in order to provide such facilities more cost effectively and to the benefit of a greater number of citizens in the community.
That this Council inserts a specific objective in the Development Plan to provide tea rooms at Lucan Demesne, near the entrance opposite the Maxol garage.
That this Council ensures industrial units are risk assessed regarding potential hazards and Planning Permission opposed if this risk has the capacity to negatively impact on local residents and communities.
That this Council directs the Development Plan to provide for cycle lanes between existing rail and LUAS lines and nearby communities.
It is the policy of this Council to maintain SLO 27 from the previous development plan.
It shall be an objective of the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan to bring privately owned lands within the SAAO and proposed Liffey Valley Park Area at Palmerstown into public ownership either by direct purchase or land swop.
Cycle routes which are independent of existing roads should feature in this county development plan. Significant capital investment should be earmarked to develop cycle routes which keep cyclists and motorists apart i.e. along the canal, the Dodder etc.
These routes would be capable of taking significant increases, safely, of cyclists but would require cross county co-operation with each of the other local authorities.
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the re-zoning of lands and inclusion of Specific Local Objectives (SLOs) in Rathfarnham pertaining to community facility and parkland provision.
That this Council preserves the Liffey Valley
Permeability
That this Council directs the Chief Executive to avoid any policies in the new Development Plan that seek a ‘one size fits all’ model to promoting walking and cycling permeability; and instead proposes an approach that recognises the views and wishes of residents of existing residential areas in the planning of any new permeability measures.

That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the need for improved access and facilities for people with disabilities in the Whitechurch area, for example provision of adult changing facilities/a hoist in Whitechurch Community Centre.
That this Council introduces a bye-law making it mandatory to carry a dog litter bag when dog walking in parks and public places to alleviate dog litter issues.
That this Council inserts a specific objective in the Development plan to investigate the acquisition of land adjoining Waterstown Park at Palmerstown (Coates land) and the creation of a footpath and cycle link across the Liffey to the Strawberry Beds in consultation with Fingal County Council.
That this Council directs the Chief executive to consider extending the Dodder Greenway to include Bohernabreena Reservoirs and the circular route around the reservoir.
