Recognising the importance of archaeology and National Monuments as part of our heritage and inheritance, provide, promote, enhance, facilitate, encourage, support, and protect public access to archaeological sites National monuments, battlefields historic burial grounds and graveyards and sites of historic interest, in direct ownership, guardianship or control of the Council and/or the State or private ownership. Protect, preserve, improve and maintain existing public rights of way to archaeological sites and designate traditional walking routes as public rights of way and in other cases, routes will be acquired by agreement with landowners or by way of compulsory powers.
Encourage, promote, facilitate and support access and public rights of way to geological and geo-morphological features of heritage value, rock trail and co-ordinate the continuing development of strategic walking routes, trails and other recreational activities.
Comply with 2010 Planning and Development (Amendment) Act Sec 7(b)(ii)(o) by providing that the preservation of public rights of way which give access to seashore, mountain, lakeshore, riverbank or other place of natural beauty or recreational utility, which public rights of way shall be identified both by marking them on at least one of the maps forming part of the development plan and by indicating their location on a list appended to the development plan.
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on a Regional Playground in Knocklyon area /Dodder Valley Park.

The County Development Plan will seek to promote Council led and managed mixed tenure estates involving a mixture of social housing, cost-rental housing and cost-purchase and/or tenant purchase housing
That this Council speeds up the delivery of Adamstown link road to alleviate traffic congestion around Lucan.
That this Council provide more public seating for mature members of our community in public spaces and parks.
That this Council directs the Chief Executive, at a strategic level, to include in the Development Plan the protection of the Slade Valley from inappropriate development; and to further include relevant policy objectives to facilitate the delivery of a Slade Valley Heritage Trail.
