This Committee asks the Chief Executive to facilitate Clondalkin Men's Shed group by allowing them to use the Council owned unit in the Watery Lane apartments on Orchard Road, Clondalkin. The men's group is very happy to share access to this unit with the active retired group or any other voluntary group in the Clondalkin area.
That this Committee agrees that the Council write to Hines, Hail & Grosvenor Britain & Ireland and the relevant building contractor to invite them to come and make a presentation to Clondalkin Councillor's prior to the next area committee to discuss the planned extension and works to the Liffey Valley Centre.

To ask the Chief Executive what assistance could the Council give to the residents of the Bawnogue and Deansrath area of Clondalkin, who have expressed an interest in setting up a Tidy Towns group for their area. Who would be in a positon to assist with the set up process?
Residents of the Nangor Road area in Clondalkin have contacted me several times this year already with photos of car accidents on the road between the Tower Road junction and the Mill centre. When will the promised traffic calming measures for this road be put in place?

"That this Area Committee recognising the importance of the promotion of Fair Trade supports the efforts of the traders of Lucan to become the second Fair Trade town in South Dublin County Council."
That this Committee call on the Chief Executive to present a report on wheelchair accessibility in Newcastle cemetery. It appears that in many parts of the cemetery there is no proper access for wheelchairs or for mini diggers.
Can some of the kerbing be removed to improve accessibility?
Can kerbing be restricted on future graves so that accessibility is maintained?
That the Chief Executive present a report on the implications of Clondalkin Village's designation as an Architectural Conservation Area.
Can the following aspects be addressed please
1. In any developments within the Clondalkin ACA, will any housing development be required to be two storey or less, in order to be in keeping with surrounding buildings?
2. Can developers be required to use materials that are in keeping with the historic centre of Clondalkin Village, particularly in walls etc with a requirement that the materials and style of stonework used is in keeping with the traditional stone walls in the village area.
3. Can the ACA designation be used to protect the sightlines to the Round Tower. These have already been drastically impeded by development and the ACA designation did not seem to provide adequate protection,
