That this Committee notes the legislation currently passing through the Dail to amalgamate IT Tallaght with other institutions in the Dublin area. This Committee calls on the Chief Executive to write to the Minister for Education requesting that the name Tallaght is retained in the institutions title post amalgamation.
"To ask the Chief Executive about the current litter Bye Laws regarding signs been put up by businesses around the Tallaght area at lights, signs and other junctions . There are certain signs that do not get any notices from the Litter Department. What is the current situation on the cash for cars signs that are put up on stop signs and area signs which have damaged this property. Has this business been fined or spoke to about this?"
That this Council engage with Kilnamanagh Residents Association regarding the use of their Estate as a training course for large articulated vehicles and 3 tonne signs be erected as soon as possible.
That this area Committee asks the Chief Executive for a report on the current bylaws for business & shops where litter is left outside certain shops and other businesses, litter is a major problem in certain areas in Tallaght. I have been asked to highlight the Kiltipper area where the shops are, lots of litter in this area from certain shops no one taking ownership.
"That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to present a detailed report, including drawings and timeframe, on the planned Willsbrook Road Cycle Scheme (Phase 3) works; and to further provide an update on the request from this Committee that works to provide safe drop-off and turning facilities on Mount Bellew Way be included as part of the Phase 3 package of works."
That this Committee establish an action plan to the main entry routes into Tallaght which are seriously in need of upgrading & public realm improvements - The N81, the Greenhills Road, Fettercairn/Cheeverstown Road and the Belgard Roads.
That the following Specific Local Objectives be enshrined in the South Dublin County Council Draft Development Plan:
To provide noise barriers along all uncovered parts of Moy Glas estate facing the Outer Ring Road and 100 metres along Griffeen Avenue.

SLO Swimming Pool Location -To provide a swimming pool for Lucan on a new Sports and Leisure Centre campus at Griffeen; alternative locations to be sought as part of an extensive public consultation process but with Griffeen identified as the default site.
