To ask the Chief Executive when SDCC are planning to carry out road and footpath maintenance in the Kilcronan area of Clondalkin
That this Area Committee request the Council to address the continuing and worsening litter problem on the Mount Seskin Road between the Blessington Road Junction and the Gortnum Cottages junction. Residents have reported that people are illegally dumping and fly tipping at a worsening rate.
That this Area Committee agrees that the manager should call a meeting to discuss the model of management at Brú Chrónáin/Round Tower Visitor Centre. This meeting to decide on a new management model for the centre. This meeting to include all elected members of the Area Committee and senior management of SDCC and the board members of Brú Chrónáin.
6. Council – Hotel Accommodation - Visitor Levy
To ask the Chief Executive for an estimated start time and duration for works to begin for the Bawnogue District Centre Enhancement Scheme and for the resurfacing of the shopping centre that was recently taken in charge.
To ask the Chief Executive if any measures are undertaken to enhance habitat for kingfishers and otters along the banks of the rivers of the county?
To ask the Chief Executive if snowdrop (Galanthus) spring flowers are planted around the county in the same way as daffodils are?
"To ask the manager if they are aware of the most recent contamination of the lake in Sean Walsh Park at the end of January and what action has been taken to identify the source of contamination?"
That this area committee considers a pedestrian crossings / Zebra crossing to cross the road safely to the church at Church of Devine Mercy for those who have poor mobility and use a rollator. This is a daily need especially for residents and users of the Stewarts Care Centre and School children accessing all three local schools.
To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the 2023-2025 Tree Maintenance Programme for Lucan, Palmerstown and North Clondalkin, detailing those estates that have been completed, those estates that have been delayed and the expected completion dates for each of the estates.
To ask the Chief Executive to install flashing lights at the pedestrian crossing at Clothurst.
To ask the manager for an update on the District Enhancement Programme for Neilstown Shopping Centre and to establish who owns the lights in the shopping centre and as to when they can be repaired. I have received reports from local who say they feel intimidated frequenting the retail unit to purchase much needed supplies, whilst it is dark after 5pm and this is not good for local business who also report same to myself as local councillor.
