"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to take action on the footpaths on the main street in Lucan village. The paving that is in place at present is uneven and parts of it is very slippery. It is only a matter of time that someone will have a bad fall on these paths. We call on the council to replace and repair these paths as soon as possible."

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to arrange for the repair or replacement of the lampposts and bulbs situated on both sides of the Sacred Heart Boxing Club on Donomore Park which have not been operational for some time with a view to improving the lighting for Patrons of the Club and residents in the area and to deter anti social and criminal activities in the area.

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide a flagpole and Tricolur to Killinarden Community Centre to form part of their 1916 Rising Centenary Commemorations and to consider rolling out a programme to all Community Centres in the Tallaght area with a view to celebrating our National pride in our Heritage.

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to investigate intrusions by stolen cars on to the footpaths that traverse Whitestown Stream adjacent to Dromcarra and Bawnlea Estate as it is becoming increasingly dangerous for pedestrians to use this space and creating an additional cost to the Council on the cleanup so after the cars are burnt out on the paths and the open spaces in the area. That this Committee further calls on the Chief Executive to provide a permanent solution to stopping access to this area by vehicles.
That this Council, in order to support a cleaner and safer local environment, agrees in principle to restrict the number and locations of election posters to be erected throughout South Dublin County Council for future elections and in respect of same hereby commits to engaging forthwith in a consultative process with all interested Local Community Organisations and Constituents, Elected Members of South Dublin County Council and all other interested parties, in order to identify the number of posters and specific designated public areas within the County where election postering for Candidates would only be allowed.
"To ask the Chief Executive when he now expects to advertise another round of Community Grants and will he outline plans to ensure that as many local groups in Tallaght as possible can avail of the Grants appreciating their importance to Volunteer Groups?"

That this Tallaght Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to present a report on actions being taken in respect of the litter problem in Springfield Estate, Tallaght, as detailed in recent correspondence forwarded to the Council by a resident of Springfield Estate and copied to the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government. Will he confirm efforts being made to deal with the problem and ask if this includes visits to the local Schools and will he give assurances in respect of the matter.

"To ask the Chief Executive, for an update on any subsequent examination of proposals made during discussions at the December 2015 meeting regarding my motion (47406) on the 'Old Schoolmaster's House' and site in Lucan Village, particularly in relation to proposals that SDCC look at the feasibility of
- acquiring the 'Old Schoolmaster's House' and site but not developing the building and instead focussing on landscaping and managing the curtilage with a view to enhancing the attractiveness and amenity of the Village and further boosting Lucan's performance in the national Tidy Towns competition;
- acquiring the site and adjoining sites to the south, along Adamstown Road, with a view to assembling a parcel of lands that would present viable opportunities for development of community or cultural facility by the Council?"
That this Tallaght Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to have the Parks Department look at the possibility of giving over to Estate Management the responsibility of opening and closing the gates at Jobstown playground.
