"That this Committee writes to the incoming Minister for Justice, in light of the continuing reported upsurge in break-ins in Lucan, Clondalkin and Palmerstown, seeking a commitment to provide adequate resources to An Garda Siochana to do its work in protecting the public effectively; and also to examine measures that will free up Gardai from court duty or at the very least from waiting around unnecessarily through fixed appointments, so that they can get back doing the important work in the community rather than be tied down with non-core duties when they would much rather be working on the ground."
"To ask the Chief Executive to outline as promised a timeframe for the commencement of the tender process for a playground at Waterstown Park, given that this was outlined repeatedly to members in conjuction with the planned refurbishment of Griffeen Valley Park; and if he will make a statement on the matter?"
"To ask the Chief Executive following on from a recent site meeting in the vicinity of the Old Lucan Road and Roselawn to outline a timescale for the installation of 'slow' markings in the vicinity of the junction near Colaiste Phadraig; the installation of a longer single white line at the entrance to Roselawn; the reinstatement of sufficient signage to show drivers that the bus lane is only operational in the mornings; and if he will make a statement on the matter?"
"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on taking in charge of roads in The Paddocks, Adamstown, Lucan, as well as all lights in the estate?"
"To ask the Chief Executive to report on current road plans joining The Paddocks and Tandy's Lane including maps of original plans and maps of current plans; to outline how the revised road plan will impact on residents of the Paddocks and residents of Dodsboro, and how any additional traffic will be managed at this busy location; and if he will make a statement?"
"That the Chief Executive outlines a strategy for dealing with illegal dumping in our major laneways such as Tandy's Lane, Ballyowen Lane, Hayden's Lane and Palmerstown back lanes, including installing an array of mobile CCTV units that can be moved from place to place."
"To ask the Chief Executive to report on graffiti clean-ups in the last three months in the Lucan and Palmerstown Area; to outline why graffiti in Palmers Drive, Palmerstown (opposite number 50) has still not been cleared despite logging and scheduling in November 2015; to outline a timeframe for completion; and if she will make a statement on the matter?"
"That this committee calls for the replacement of the park benches in Greenhills Park with ones made from a more robust material. The current wooden seats have been set on fire and are no longer fit for purpose."
"Some of the laneways in Palmerstown are kept very well due to a combination of local of local volunteers and Council Staff. Others are in a very dirty and un-kept condition have been so for several months. Can all lanes be cleaned please as per the promised rota and can a copy of the rota be made available to this area committee?"
"Can the light sequence at the junction of Kennelsfort Road/R148 be reviewed please. It gives very little time to traffic from either upper or lower Kennelsfort Road. It is taking 20 mins to travel from the Silver Granite to the R148 at 9.30 in the mornings. The commitment was that it would take no more than 3 light changes to clear upper Kennelsfort Road between the entrance to Woodfarm Acres and the R148?"
