Junction of Deansrath Green and Park
Junction of Melrose Green and Park
These two areas have been damaged to allow ease of access to the park for cars/bikes etc. and it is having a detrimental impact on the residents who live in this area."

"The Council Depot on Greenfort Gardens is an eyesore and attracts anti-social behaviour. What plans have the Council got for this site and will the Council refurbish this site so it can be used as Council housing stock?"

"This Committee agrees that the Chief Executive provides a report for discussion identifying a number of sites in the Clondalkin LEA that have a history of problems such as anti-social behaviour and illegal dumping that could be used for infill housing, and that these sites could be combined and sent off for tender as a job lot. This report should include Council properties that could be refurbished and put back into Council housing stock such as the Council depot in Greenfort Gardens."
"That this Area Committee opposes the opening of a planned through-road between the Slade Castle, Crosforge, Drury Mills and Millrace estates in Saggart, as the road could cause a significant danger to people in the area and exasperate traffic problems in the estate."
"To ask the Chief Executive to detail actions available to him in respect of the derelict condition of the site of the former Gallagher's factory on Greenhills Road noting the concern of the wider community at the poor image of the location and will he appreciate the view that effective action is now overdue?"

"To ask the Chief Executive to confirm the Council's support for the Dublin Bus / Luas Community Forum's endeavor to protect and preserve the bus service to the Tallaght West estates which is being threatened by anti-social behavior including stone throwing, scutting, petty crime and other incidents; will he note that the Council is represented at monthly meetings of the Forum held in Killinarden Enterprise Centre and also attended by the Gardai, Dublin Bus management and unions, Luas staff, and community representatives and in reporting will he also confirm if any action is open to his community staff to encourage the attendance of additional representatives from the local estates and will he make a general statement?"
In view of the difficulties being experienced by those in wheel chairs or mobility impaired individuals and senior citizens crossing bridges in many of the parks in the South Dublin County Council areas that this Council agreed to initiate a review of all its parks with particular emphasis on making them more accessible to those who have physical impairments.
That this Council agrees that all Voluntary or Approved Housing Bodies who house tenants from the Local Authority housing list, should charge these new tenants the same rate of rent as the Local Authority, and should this Motion be passed that this Council writes to all Approved Housing Bodies operating in the South Dublin County Council to inform them of the passing of this Motion.

That the Council calls on the Chief Executive to report on the measures taken and planned by this Council to ensure the participation and engagement by people with disabilities and their representatives in local decision making structures and mechanisms, with a view to budgeting and planning for 2018 and beyond for the Council to advance implementation of the UN CRPD; and further more to outline areas where engagement by this Council with other public bodies is improving participation for people with disabilities.
"Following enquiries from local residents can this committee give specific dates for planting of Hedging along the Belgard Road to commence?"
"In view of complaints by residents in Tamarisk Park regarding the overgrown section of green space at the bottom of Tree Park Road that this Area Committee consider the area to be cleared at both sides of the wall and repairs be carried out on the section of wall missing."
In support of National Recovery month and the upcoming impending implementation of the new Alcohol Bill, that this Council calls on the Minister for Health to liaise and engage with the Minister for Communications to examine and review current legislation to include and enforce a watershed restriction on alcohol and gambling advertisement.

That this Council writes to the Taoiseach, Minister for Health, Members of Cabinet and designated leaders of each political grouping in the Dáil and Seanad expressing our unambiguous support for the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill and requesting that it be implemented in full as a matter of urgency, as one of a number of required measures to help tackle this Country's toxic and normalised relationship with alcohol, which causes so much tragedy and destruction in this Country and is directly responsible for one-eighth of the Nation's entire health expenditure.
Mayor's Business
That 2017 be designated "Health and Wellbeing Year" in South Dublin so as to build on our achievement of Healthy County status as part of the World Health Organisation’s Healthy Cities and Counties of Ireland Network and that all Council departments and agencies make a concerted effort to promote mental and physical health and wellbeing amongst people of all ages and backgrounds in our County, recognising that certain areas face special challenges.

"That the Council provide a report for discussion in relation to a request from Quarryvale Community Centre to bring a portion of Quarryvale Park into the ownership of the community centre in order to provide much needed car parking spaces." (See map attached)
